Exhibition 'Three Decades of Klaipeda Arts'
A
long-term exhibition 'Three decades of Klaipeda arts' presents the works
of artists, creating in a city next to the sea. Here one finds pieces of
painting, graphics, sculpture, ceramics and textile, that are presently
stored in studios. The exposition makes no pretence of providing a
full-scale and consistent view of Klaipeda arts, it does not aim to
present the creations of all the artists unexceptionally, what it offers
it is a glimpse into a development of city arts, during the last few
decades.
An idea to arrange the long-term exhibition of Klaipeda artists, emerged
in the local Lithuanian Arts Museum's Gallery of Pranas Domsaitis and was
supported by Klaipeda Municipality. All the exposed creations are the
property of artists or collectors. We are thankful for their kindness,
while lending the pieces of arts. Our hope is that the exhibition,
becoming an integral part of Klaipeda arts' life, will be interesting for
the visitors.
